Bio

A writer. I find it’s the best reason to eat, sleep, breathe, and live. A killer draft of a script, one that gets my blood pumping, I can’t not write. Not to say writing isn’t frustrating. It’s rip your hair out difficult. But solving the little puzzles they create, that’s being in a racecar on the final stretch of a race, an early morning skydive, a meticulously brewed cup of coffee coming to fruition.
I’m especially intrigued by compelling characters.

What unique perspective do I have? Well, my brain isn’t screwed in quite right. It’s not screwed in wrong, it’s just screwed in differently. If I don’t like the way something’s presented to me, I try to put a creative spin on it. I approach projects backwards, sideways, inside out.

Let me put it this way: one time, in preschool, we were asked to create a picture or design by gluing popsicle sticks onto construction paper. You know, on the WIDE side. This was not acceptable to me. Clearly this was an opportunity to create something with dimension, have the art really come out at the audience. Unfortunately my unsteady 4-year-old hands, and the tack of Elmer’s school glue saw fit to best me that day. But not to worry, when round 2 comes, I’ll be ready.
